HOW TO DECIDE BELT CONVEYOR INCLINATION

A belt conveyor running at any angle,including vertically,but it’s doubtful if it’ll move stuff.

In practice,conveyor belt with very  high upward inclination will struggle because the material will roll back down the bottom.In general ,the steeper the angle, the less material that can be conveyed up.

You go past the maximum limit of inclination

• The maximum angle for a flat belt is usually reach to be 20°.Beyond this, material slippage become a concern.
• If you need to transport materials at very high angles,a 15mm chevron pattern belt  can handle steeper inclines up to about 32°.
• If you need to go any higher, a troughed and flighted belt with standard excavated material can reach as high as 45°
• Troughed and Flighted Belt Conveyors:Designed for even steeper requirements, these can go up to 45°for ordinary excavated material.
